About the event
Understanding & Providing Neurodiversity-Affirming Clinical Care
QoC Partner Workshop with Ruth M. Strunz, RP, CCC
Course Description
There is a pressing need for neurodiversity-affirming clinical frameworks that can be understood and applied in all settings, to increase accessibility to healthcare for neurodivergent patients/clients. This 3-hour workshop will provide clinicians with a clear understanding of neurodiversity-affirming clinical environments, communication and accommodations. Clinicians will self-assess their current capacity to meet that need and gain skills and understanding to adapt what they already do (treatment planning) and how they reflect on what they do (case conceptualization). Ruth will provide an in-depth introduction, exploration and demonstration of the pivotal elements of Neurodiversity-Affirming Psychotherapy, followed by a short break and ample time for questions, discussion and/or non-identifying consultation.
